Timeline Two - From Lucy to Kushim
(If you wish to see the other timelines, head to the Timeline Homepage). This is the place for all the events that take place in the second book of From Nothing to Us, From Lucy to Kushim. It goes from around when the Austrolopithecus named Lucy lived (c. 3,200,000 BCE) to what might be the earliest written name (c. 3,300 BCE).
You may notice this page is very bare. Expect it to me such until I start work on the second book (in a good while, sorry).
The Timeline Itself
- c. 3,200,000 BCE - A female of the species Australopithecus afarensis lives and dies in Ethiopia. She will later be named Lucy.
- c. 287,000 BCE - The earliest known Homo sapiens individual lives and dies in Morocco. This is also when some hypothesize modern human behavior evolved.
- c. 8,000 BCE - The origins of cuneiform are believed to have started around this time at the earliest.
- c. 3,400 BCE - The word/name Kushim is written on a clay tablet in ancient Sumer.
